Spring Symposium Presentation Videos Available On Demand

All Symposium presentations have been recorded and are available on demand. Symposium registrants will have access to these sessions through December 31, 2022. Please self-report the PDUs for viewing the additional on demand sessions. The PDU code will be displayed at the end of each session.

We're Looking for Volunteers

PMIGL is always looking for members who want to be more involved with the chapter. This is a great way to support the growth of the chapter and earn valuable PDUs for re-certification. We are currently in need of volunteers for a number of committee projects in progress. Our current openings include the following:

  • Manager, Symposium
  • Manager, Speaker Procurement
  • Manager, Military Outreach
  • Marketing Volunteer
  • Golf Volunteer
If you are interested in helping with one of our committee projects, please fill out the Chapter Volunteer Information Form and send it to our Director of Volunteer Program and you will be put in touch with the committee chair.

Quarterly Construction Quality Management Panel Discussion

Construction Quality Management Community of Practice (CQM) holds a quarterly meeting the last Tuesday of each quarter to discuss topics that would benefit our community in improving their processes and procedures for better quality management using the latest best practices shared by our members. This quarter's topic is Newest Technology Trends in Remote Construction Quality Management.

Meet Jeff Adams our PMIGL Spotlight Volunteer for June 2022

JeffAdams.jpgJeff Adams earned his PMP certification in March 2009, upon completion he decided to get involved in the local PMI chapter activities. Jeff attended a Membership sponsored event. After a few visits with PMIGL, he inquired about volunteer opportunities. The Membership team immediately offered positions available. During the next few years within Membership, he volunteered in several roles, including Manager of Membership Promotion. Read more about Jeff.

A New Role for the Seasoned Project Manager – Advocate for Project Management Ready Youth

James R. Snyder, PMI founder, and lifelong innovator has long prophesied that the future of the universe requires a “generation of project-oriented people capable of solving project-oriented problems” to deal with the multitude of pressing global issues [Ginevri & Trilling, pg. vii]. This lofty yet realistic goal requires the integration of project management skills into the K-13 education system. The PMI Educational Foundation and an army of committed PMI volunteers have made great strides in providing project management awareness and training programs for youth, K-13 educators, and non-profit organizations. However, awareness is not enough for young people to enter the workforce; solid education programs for students with verifiable knowledge attainment are essential for project management-ready youth. Read the complete article.
